We caught the last spring training game of the Astros' 2003 season. They played the White Sox in Houston and ended up losing 5 - nil. I thought the park (formerly named Enron Field) was a decent place to see a game. It sits just east of downtown and has all the standards of the new parks: restaurants, patios, a kids area, retractable dome, etc. The outfield fence is particularly interesting. The yellow 'home run' line is painted like a crazy bar graph. There's no way to tell if a long fly will hit above or below it. And if a hitter sends one deep to center, not only does the fielder have to contend with a sharply inclined hill, but there's also a flag pole- in play! What the hell, Astros?
