Safeco Field is the home of the Seattle Mariners. It sits, along with Seahawks Stadium, just south of downtown, providing some beautiful skyline distractions if the product on the field turns ugly.
Safeco has a full sushi bar featuring the 'ichiroll,' named after their superstar outfielder Ichiro Suzuki. I would not give the 'ichiroll' superstar status, but the salmon sandwich was excellent. Get to the game early and have a beer at the Pyramid Brewery across from the field. They had some fine flavors (we had to go back for seconds).
Safeco's main feature is its removable roof. Similar to Miller Park or the Bob, the roof can slide open or close in about eight minutes. The night we were there it was beautiful so they kept it open and we got to enjoy the game under the stars.
